FORIN
Education for greater independence, personal development and full participation in society
Since 2021, the CENTRO Javier López de la Puerta has offered a Continuing Education Program for young adults with functional diversity who, at this stage of their lives, need comprehensive support for their personal, social and professional development.
A personalized approach
The diversity of FORIN participants calls for a flexible and highly individualized methodology.
Sessions are delivered both individually and in groups, with a strong focus on developing independence and prioritizing practical learning that supports each participant’s personal growth.
FORIN participants must be at least 18 years old. The program admits a maximum of five participants.
Program Objectives
Holistic development and competency-based learning
The FORIN Program aims to support the holistic development of each participant by building on their abilities and helping them acquire the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to strengthen personal independence, social inclusion and readiness for the workplace.
Through individualized education adapted to each person’s needs and capabilities, the program focuses on six key areas:
Continuing Education
Strengthen and expand essential knowledge and practical learning that support everyday independence and encourage lifelong learning.
Digital Skills
Develop the ability to use technological tools and digital resources independently, practically and safely.
Communication
Strengthen expression, comprehension and interpersonal skills, fostering confidence and active participation in different settings.
Workplace Skills
Develop professional habits, responsibilities and competencies through daily collaboration with different departments at San Telmo Business School.
Creativity
Encourage imagination, initiative and personal expression through activities designed to help each participant discover and develop their abilities.
Social and Cultural Activities
Encourage participation in social, cultural and community experiences that broaden interests, strengthen personal relationships and support inclusion in society.
Admissions Process
Admission to FORIN follows rigorous criteria. The Program Management team seeks to ensure that each applicant has the right profile to benefit from the learning and skills-development opportunities offered by FORIN, and that the Department is able to provide appropriate support based on the applicant’s individual characteristics.
