Rocío Reina Paniagua

Professor of Business Policy

Rocío Reina Paniagua began her professional career in consulting before joining her family business, where she played an active role in its management and in the process of selling the company to a larger construction firm.

She also worked as a researcher for the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science in the Department of Business Management at Pablo de Olavide University, where she earned a dual degree in Law and Business Administration and Management. She subsequently completed the LYDES Programme and, several years later, the Executive MBA and the Academic Development Programme at San Telmo Business School.

She has been associated with San Telmo Business School since 2007, holding various positions and responsibilities across different departments. She is currently Director and Professor of the Business Policy Department, Head of the Teaching Assistants Department, and Director of San Telmo Business School Publishing, the department responsible for managing and editing the school’s collection of case studies. In her teaching role, she leads case-method sessions and delivers lectures covering the full scope of Business Policy. Her main areas of interest include business and strategy, management processes, corporate governance, people management, and sustainability. Sustainability is one of her particular areas of expertise at San Telmo Business School, where she promotes initiatives and develops educational materials aimed at helping companies integrate sustainability into their business models and embed it in their day-to-day operations.

Throughout her academic career, she has written more than 100 case studies on companies across a wide range of industries and has contributed to the development, coordination, and editing of numerous books and publications. In 2018, she received the Best Teaching Case Award from the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) for a case study on Nespresso’s sustainability strategy.

She has authored and co-authored numerous articles published in Harvard Deusto Business Review, focusing primarily on strategy, sustainability, corporate governance, people management, and leadership skills.
