More than a hundred businessmen and managers met at San Telmo headquarters in Seville to attend a new activity organized by Digital Agenda for Senior Management. The initiative was born in this business school last academic year, aim to enhance digital transformation in companies and to help spread, among managers and entrepreneurs, the importance of embracing the challenges of digital transformation for the future of their businesses.
In the activity, titled "Digital transformation, from a people and organization perspective" intervened Ignacio de Orúe, general director of people, communication and institutional relations at Orange Spain.
During his speech Orúe explained how the company in which he works, with more than 7,000 employees, managed to move from a traditional work model to a new way of doing work, more adapted to the digital environment. The keys to achieving this goal, according to Ignacio de Orúe, were to follow same steps and same work as for any strategic project in a large business: "to set objectives, work on projects and push day by day with well-identified milestones, and, mainly, a CEO and a teamwork who believes in the project and that is capable of transmitting that they can make it happen," he said.
Some ideas explained in the conference by the general director of people, communication and institutional relations at Orange Spain, can be viewed in the following interview made by Prof. José Luis García del Pueyo, academic director of Digital Agenda for Senior Management.
