Holder of a PhD in Business Administration and PhD in Management (IESE Business School, Universidad de Navarra - University of Navarre), Master’s in Economics and Business Management Full time (IESE Business School, University of Navarre), National Public Accountant (Universidad Nacional de Tucumán - National University of Tucumán, Argentine Republic)
Dr. Raúl Ibañez has focused his academic career in the Control Area of San Telmo Business School since 1996, running the Area from 2005 to the present day. In addition to conducting sessions by the case method (on management and control systems, economic analysis of decisions, cost systems and financial accounting for management), he has designed and directed academically various courses and specialist programs for companies such as Airbus Military, COVAP, Cooperativa Farmacéutica Bidafarma, Tany Nature, Public Company of Health Emergencies of Andalusia, among others, also having published series of case studies, technical notes and research articles.
His fields of expertise revolve around the design and implementation of scorecards, economic reporting, selection processes and strategic planning, as well as the design and exercise of the executive control function from Senior Management (DG, Steering Committee and Board of Directors). His doctoral thesis in IESE Business School has consisted of a clinical field study: "Possibilities and Limitations of the Management Indicators in the managerial task", delving deeper into the management process and the design and appropriate use of support tools.
He maintains a close relationship with other business schools, holding the post of guest professor at IPADE Business School (Mexico), IESE Business School (Spain), PAD School of Management (Peru), ISEM Fashion Business School (Spain), as well as the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Tucumán (Argentina). He combines its academic activities with the advice and accompaniment of executives and senior management teams of companies of different sectors and sizes.
He is a member of the American Accounting Association (USA), the Performance Measurement Association (Cambridge, UK) and REDCON (a permanent working group of the Control Areas of the IESE Business School (Spain), IAE Business School (Argentina), INALDE (Colombia), IPADE Business School (Mexico), PAD School of Management (Peru), AESE Business School (Portugal), IEEM (Uruguay), IDE (Ecuador), ESE Business School (Chile), ISE (Brazil) and the IIST (Spain).
