The Advisory Board of the food and Agribusiness Department is the official body that advises and recommends the research activities developed by Instituto Internacional San Telmo within the food sector. It is composed of leading companies of the Food Chain or entities related to it.
They are represented by members of the Presidency, General Management and Board of Directors of the following companies:
The food and agribusiness chain, from seed to fork, is one of the biggest economic sectors in Italy. However, home market maturity and global food business developments are fundamentally changing the rules of the game in the food chain : increasing retail power and private labels, pressure on prices, new competitors from emerging economies, raw materials price increase and volatility, the digital transformation of consumers, … The speed of change is increasing, and careful strategic thinking to continuosly reinvent the business model is becoming a top priority: a successful history does not guarantee a brilliant future.
The Seminar FAM is an annual forum for senior management, which aims to generate in-depth strategic thinking and debate on the challenges to compete and create value in the Food Chain, therefore analysing the business models of leading firms and promoting a fruitful exchange of experiences, approaches and points of view.
The teaching method is based on the Case Method, discussions with thought leading speakers and panel discussions. The Cases discussed in FAM have been specially selected to address the themes of the seminar and are complemented with debate sessions with the top executives from the companies which have been analysed during the
FAM offers a unique opportunity to explore emerging business challenges agribusiness companies are facing, get practical ideas to address them and establish business relationships at the highest level.
This seminar is tailored and aimed to entrepreneurs, managing directors, CEOs and members of the board of directors with the responsibility to define or influence the business strategy of the companies involved in the Food Chain:
The registration fees cover academic tuition, case materials and meals.
Case Method and open debate conferences. We will study and discuss two Cases with the participation of the top executives from the analysed companies. An adequate case study and preparation prior to the sessions is required to fully benefit from the case discussions.
